Job: Influencer Marketing
Bio: Seven years into her career at Yahoo!, Amy now arrives to work hoping her outfit is spit-up free (thanks to her cuddly 18-month-old son) and that she doesn’t appear too frazzled from preschool drop off (thanks to her sensitive 4 year-old son). Amy is eternally grateful that both her job and family allow her to embrace her quirky sense of humor.

Bio: Jen has been a Yahoo for 2.5 years. She moved to California from North Carolina in January 2005 with her eight-year-old daughter. She met her husband in February 2005 who at that time was a Yahoo. They actually… totally cheesy… met on Yahoo! Personals. By November 2005 they were engaged, and by November 2006 they were married. Since then they had their first son this last November. So, they are now a family of six, including their two shelties.

Name: Chris
Job: Legal Department
Bio: Chris is a “seasoned” mom of a nine-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy. She has left behind the challenges of infants and toddlers and moved into the frightening world of teenagers and everything that comes along with them (i.e. hormones, pimples, texting, video games and emotions). She is an everyday mom who tries to her best to ensure her family is happy and healthy and that her kids grow up to be as independent as possible (i.e. move out and stay out!). While being a mom she makes sure her kids have lots of outdoor adventures which are often the topics of her blog posts. Other topics include her pets: Ahi the Chiweenie, Daisy Mae the yellow Labrador and Betty, the chicken!

Job: Product Manager, Yahoo! Careers
Bio: Michelle’s been working at Yahoo! since 1999—back when parents and people with grey hair were rarely spotted on campus. After successfully managing advertising and distribution partnerships, she took a position where she gets to spread the word about why Yahoo! is such a great place to work with Yahoo! Careers. Married to her high school sweetheart, Michelle isn’t just A working mom. She’s THEIR working mom—they being the independent, strong-willed Anna (8) and Malia (6)—and they’re all better for it.

Job: Senior Community Manager: Answers, Groups & Delicious
Bio: Layla is the newest Yahoo to the Yodeling Mamas blog. She joined Yahoo! in late May after taking a year off due to a difficult pregnancy and a rough first six months. She loves working at Yahoo! and especially enjoys blogging for three of our properties. Layla and her husband Antoine have a curious, adorable nine-month old who is not particularly happy about Mommy having gone back to work—luckily, Yahoo! offers the flexibility to work from home on “meeting-free” days, which baby Delarai really appreciates.

Job: Senior Visual Designer
Bio: Working at Yahoo for the past 6+ years has allowed Jaime to connect with people by designing their online experiences. She’s since joined the ranks of becoming a “working” mom, and tries mixing her creativity with parenting. She and her husband have a three-year-old son Evan, who also happens to be their favorite topic of conversation.
Name: Ani
Job: Engineer on the Internal Reporting team, doing database programming
Bio: Ani has been with Yahoo! since 2006. She has been married for four years and had their first son, little Dro, four months ago. Ani moved to the US almost 10 years ago, has her BS in Software Engineering and got her MS in Artificial Intelligent/Robotic Design after she moved to the US. Her day starts at 5 a.m. but her joyful life starts at 5 p.m. when she gets home. She and her husband love traveling, and Ani also tries to be as athletic as she can be. Ani says having her son is the greatest experience and the most joyful thing that ever happened to her and her immediate family.

Job: Senior Learning & Development Manager
Bio: Sara has been with Yahoo! for 2+ years. She works in the Learning and Development area of Human Resources. She is a new mama to an 11-week-old girl. Sara and her partner have been together for more than nine years and have been legally married for one year. She loves being in a two mommy household and will blog about her experiences there. Sara also does stand-up comedy and improv on the side so get ready for some sassy blog posts too!

Job: Senior Operations Administrator
Bio: After a long career with The Walt Disney Company, Jen has been with Yahoo! for three years and works in North American Partnerships and Business Development (say that three times fast) as a Contract Administrator. She’s referred to as the Chief Mom Officer for her group as she handles the day-to-day fire drills for her teams as well. She is a mom of two young boys; Nick, age 11 and Alex, age 9. Her interests include outdoor sports, running, the beach and most every type of entertainment. A big movie buff, Jen keeps a journal of every movie she’s seen and gives them a popcorn rating (five kernels being the best) and grew up in London then Washington, DC, before moving to Los Angeles in 1994.

Name: Vrushali
Job: Technical Yahoo
Bio: Vrushali has been with Yahoo! since January 2008. She has been married for about 4.5 years now. She and her husband moved to the US from India in 2006. They now have a beautiful daughter who is four-months-old. Vrushali says her journey into motherhood has brought forth strength and determination that she never knew existed. It’s the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to her.

Bio: Melissa has been with Yahoo! since May 2002. In her seven years with the company she has worked in Sunnyvale, Boston, New York and most recently, from home in Connecticut. She and her husband have two children Owen (three-years-old) and Mary (one-year-old). As a family they try to be as active as possible and enjoy getting out and about as much as two young children allow.
Name: Mani
Job: Yahoo! Research
Bio: Mani is the mom of an eleven-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl. Like all moms, she believes that her kids are the most adorable ever and continues to marvel at the amazing things they say and do. She has been a Yahoo since 2005 and works in Yahoo! Research. She and her husband love to travel and have been traveling with their kids since before they were even a year old.

Job: Technical Yahoo
Bio: A new mom (her son is almost nine-months-old), Michelle has been at Yahoo! on and off for about three years, currently working in the Developer Tools group as a remote employee in Colorado. She and her husband are very active (they do scuba diving, geocaching, snowboarding, dirtbiking, and karate, just to name a few hobbies), and they hope their son will enjoy some of the same things. But if not, they’re sure he’ll find his own niche someplace!

Bio: Havi has been a keen observer of the internets since 1995, and a Yahoo since 1998, shaping the evolution of online media as websurfer, writer, editor, publisher, and accidental marketer/evangelist. Havi wrote for Yahoo!’s first blog (ysearchblog.com), and helped launch Yodel Anecdotal in the summer of 2006. She likes to connect people and ideas, spot patterns, build bridges, and get things done. She is especially interested in early adopters and technologies at the edge. This fall, her daughter starts college in Washington, DC.

Job: Marketing Manager for Yahoo! Canada
Bio: Joanne is a 3+ year Yahoo! working in the Marketing Department at the Canadian office in Toronto. She is also a mom, a wife, a sister and a friend, all at the same time. When not leaping over tall piles of laundry in a single bound she plays a mean game of hide and seek, can heal wounds with a single kiss and a Barbie band-aid, tells hilarious knock-knock jokes, sings songs out loud and out of tune all to the amusement of her six-year-old daughter.

Job: Director of Tax, Asia
Bio: Unjung has been with Yahoo!’s corporate tax team since March 2000 and has had all of her three kids as a Yahoo. Her son wants her to continue to yodel until she gets the foosball table at her 15 year anniversary with the company. She hopes to yodel until at least 2030… wonder what she’ll receive then… two foosball tables?
Name: Katy
Job: Sales Manager for Yahoo! Hot Jobs
Bio: Katy has been with Yahoo! since 2002 when her previous employer, HotJobs.com, was acquired. A sixth generation Californian, Katy experienced the rise of Silicon Valley, having grown up in the Bay Area. She and her husband met at an architecture firm designing office spaces for many now-extinct dotcoms. Though the designs did not last, their relationship endured and they welcomed their first child in 2007. When she is not negotiating recruitment solutions with clients, she spends her free time negotiating meal time, nap time, and play time with her two-year-old daughter, Alexandra.
Name: Katie
Job: Product Manager, Yahoo! Finance
Bio: Katie has been with Yahoo! since 1999, working the entire time as a Product Manager on Yahoo! Finance. Her personal life hasn’t been quite as consistent. Katie met her husband, got married and now has two children – a boy and a girl. She moved to central Oregon in 2009 to take advantage of the outdoor activities and nearby grandparents.
Name: Lila
Job: Yahoo! Sports coverage editor
Bio: Lila has been with Yahoo! Sports since 2007 and is expecting her first child in September. She enjoys sports, especially baseball, and loves traveling, running, eating and sleeping. Lila and her boyfriend of four years are excited to meet their baby boy and to share their adventures together.

Job: Customer Care Supervisor for Yahoo! Mail
Bio: Michelle has been with Yahoo! since 2005, starting out as a contractor supporting our Yahoo! Go product. She has moved up the ranks and now is the Supervisor of the Mail and PIM Customer Care Team. She is the lucky wife of the most amazing man and mother of two gorgeous children. When she is not working, she is learning the balance of life with a teenager and infant. She enjoys reading, scrapbooking (digital of course) and visiting any scenic spot that houses water!
Name: Hélène
Job: Yahoo! Search Editor, International liaison
Bio: Hélène has been at Yahoo! since 2005, first as a contractor. She became a full-time search editor in April 2007. She moved from her native France to join her husband who was studying at Stanford University. A PhD later for him, and some freelance writer experience for her, they moved to San Francisco, and have been enjoying the joy of commuting everyday ever since! Their son Hippolyte joined the fun in January 2008, and has been happily following his parents in their numerous trips.

Job: Executive Assistant
Bio: Gay started at Yahoo! 3.5 years ago and works in Corporate Development. Photography has always been her hobby and she does it as a part-time job. No kids, but her nephew and two nieces have been a constant source of fun and inspiration with her photography. She also has a nine-year-old beagle whom she loves and is a great model for when she doesn’t have any two-legged subjects to photograph!
